Data Protection
The Dumfries and District Music Festival
intends to use the data on its entry form in its Festival literature in such a
way as to preserve the Festival’s exemption under the Data Protection Act 1998.
Except for Festival literature, data will not be disclosed to any third party,
other than computer maintenance organisations in order to repair hardware or
software, as the law requires or as permitted by the Act.
A parent, guardian or teacher must sign the entry form where an entrant is under
18 years old.
Any applicant completing an entry form automatically applies for membership of
the Dumfries and District Music Festival and should have read the Rules and
Regulations contained in the Syllabus; it is understood that this person does
not object to his/her personal data being held on the database in accordance
with the Festival Rules and Regulations.
Please note:
Photographs taken of competitors by authorised photographers may be used for
publicity for the festival. This could be in newspapers, magazines or on the
DDMFA website. You will be asked to indicate your acceptance or non-acceptance
on the entry form.
