Trophies should be returned to Mr I Riddet, Morar, 48 Lochfield Road, Dumfries, DG2 9BH by the end of January 2010.
Entries must be received by 15th January 2010 and addressed to:- Mr I Riddet, Accordion & Fiddle Secretary, DDMFA, Morar, 48 Lochfield Road, Dumfries DG2 9BH. (Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope, or provide an email address, for a reply giving festival timetable and relevant individual times).
ENTRANCE FEES: Solos £4.00 per entry; Trios/Groups/Bands £7.00 per entry
All communications regarding the Accordion and Fiddle Section must be addressed to Mr I Riddet, Accordion & Fiddle Secretary, Dumfries and District Music Festival Association, Morar, 48 Lochfield Road, Dumfries, DG2 9BH and must enclose a stamped addressed envelope for reply.

1. Players will not be permitted to play more than once in any one class.
2. Traditional signifies that tunes must be in the Scottish Idiom.
3. Trios – Instruments to include either Accordion and/or Fiddle and any other acoustic instruments. An Electric Piano will be permitted. Please indicate on the entry form if you wish to use the Festival piano.
4. Bands – Band should consist of 4 – 6 instruments including Accordion and/or Fiddle. No microphones will be permitted but Electronic Bass will be allowed. Please indicate on entry form if you wish to use the Festival piano.
5. Competitors in classes 1, 2, 3 and 16 must supply a copy of music to the Secretary prior to the classes commencing.
6. Piano Accompaniment for Fiddle classes 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 is permitted. Please indicate on the entry form if the official Piano Accompanist is required. Competitors must include two copies of their music with their entry form if the official Piano Accompanist is required |
